What is ozone, and what is this equipment for?

Ozone (O₃) is a three-atom form of oxygen produced when an electrical discharge passes through oxygen gas. An ozone generator makes this gas on demand from an oxygen source, at a measured concentration — micrograms per milliliter (ug/mL, often called “gamma”). What does an ozone generator’s concentration number mean?

Concentration (ug/mL or “gamma”) measures how much ozone is in each milliliter of gas output. Higher settings produce stronger concentrations at lower flow rates. The Stratus 3.0 spans 5–75 ug/mL across 11 settings.

What’s the difference between ozonated glycerin and ozonated oil?

Base chemistry. Oils are lipid-based and form their oxygenated compounds via reactions at carbon double bonds; glycerin is water-soluble and has no double bonds, so its chemistry is fundamentally different. Practically: glycerin absorbs cleanly with no odor; oils are thicker, scented, and longer-lasting on skin.

Do I need an oxygen tank?

For accurate, high-purity ozone at specified concentrations, yes — our equipment is specified against pure oxygen at defined flow rates. Concentrator-fed setups produce lower-purity ozone. We help kit customers locate local oxygen suppliers during setup.

Is any of this FDA approved?

No. Ozone equipment and ozonated products are not FDA approved, and governing health authorities do not endorse ozone for health uses. We sell equipment and publish information; decisions about use are yours.

Do I need a prescription to get oxygen?

No prescription is needed for industrial oxygen from welding-supply stores. Prescription (870) oxygen requires one. Both are typically filled from the same high-purity liquid-oxygen source — ask your supplier.

Can I use an oxygen concentrator instead of a tank?

Concentrators produce roughly 90–95% purity oxygen. Our concentration charts assume pure tank oxygen at defined flow rates, so we recommend tanks for accurate concentrations.
